Kamil Sobolewski

Chief Economist

As Chief Economist of Employers of Poland since February 2022, he is responsible, among other things, for the preparation and communication of economic texts and analyses. He participates in the Entrepreneurship Council, works as an expert at the Social Dialogue Council and takes part in the Council's plenary sessions. Kamil Sobolewski completed his doctoral studies in economics at the Institute of Economics of the Polish Academy of Sciences. At the Warsaw School of Economics, he completed a master's degree in finance and banking and a three-year Polish-German special course in sociology and economics, co-organised by the universities of Mainz and Duisburg. He has experience as an academic lecturer.

He has 25 years of professional experience. He passed the CFA and FRM examinations and received the title Financial Risk Manager from the Global Association of Risk Professionals. He worked, among others, in He has worked, among others, in banks, including the German DG Bank, bringing together local banks operating under the brands Volksbank and Raiffeisenbank, and the French Societe Generale, where he was responsible for the investment of the bank's own funds, and above all in pension and investment funds in Poland and abroad, where, for brands such as Union Investment, PKO BP, Citibank and Nationale-Nederlanden, he successfully decided how to invest funds with a value of up to PLN 40 billion, managed investment teams, and also acted as a strategist for the financial institution and its clients.
Outside the financial sector, Kamil Sobolewski gathered experience at the Dutch Unilever, German Volkswagen, LOT Polish Airlines, and had the opportunity to introduce several German companies to the Polish market. Kamil Sobolewski has experience in corporate governance, including organising the staffing of company bodies in a transparent and effective manner, and has held the roles of proxy and supervisory board member.
