He has held positions in government, local government and the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland. Vice-president of Warsaw in 2004-2005 overseeing municipal real estate, housing and social policy.
Secretary of state and Deputy Chief of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland and acting Chief of the Chancellery from 2005 to 2008. Head of the legal department, responsible for the preparation of 25 bills submitted to the Sejm by the President of the Republic of Poland. Chairman of bilateral presidential committees: Polish-Lithuanian, Polish-Georgian, and Polish-Turkish. He participated in the project to acquire the Mažeikiai refinery for Poland and in negotiations to create an energy bridge with Lithuania. He took part in the project to strengthen military cooperation with Georgia, talks with Azerbaijan on the Odessa - Brody - Gdansk pipeline project. Awarded the Officer's Cross of the Order of Merit to Lithuania.
